Harding School of Theology
Our commitment to the Harding School of Theology began in the 1958 when Harding University moved its theological school to Memphis. Since then we have supported HST in its mission of challenging Christian leaders to develop “deeper faith in God and higher standards of ministry and scholarship." While we share many of the same goals as HST, we recognize that our work with an institution of higher learning enables us to participate in God’s work in a unique way that would not otherwise be possible.
This partnership with HST has been beneficial in many respects. HST faculty and staff serve as shepherds, ministry leaders, and Bible class teachers, in addition to lending their expertise in other areas. This allows us to launch and sustain relevant ministries that are informed by rich theological reflection. In addition, this relationship provides our members with access to the School of Theology library and the option to audit courses for a nominal fee. Our missionaries, apprentices, and campus ministers have all come through HST. This partnership allows us to experience the energy of seeing men and women commit themselves to a brief time of training as they join God’s mission throughout the world.
