Sympathy

*We express our sympathy to J.P. & Jennifer Webber (Crossover) on the death or J.P.'s mother, Jennifer Cope Webber (former WS Member), on January 19 in Jackson, MO.  The funeral service is today at the Jackson Church of Christ.  Sympathy also extends to Jack, Boyd & Lauren Webber.  Memorial gifts may be made to the Coach Webber Memorial Scholarship Fund, 1816 Sunset Dr., Poplar Bluff, MO 63901, Children's Homes, Inc., 5515 Walcott Rd., Paragoud, AR. 72450 or a charity of your choice.

*Our sympathy is expressed to Mike & Patty Crittenden (Lifesavers), on the sudden death of their son, Michael Crittenden, on January 21.  Visitation is from 6-8pm on Thursday, January 25, and the funeral service is at 11:30 am on Friday, January, 26, both at Trinity In The Fields Anglican Church, 100 East Military Road, Marion, AR.

Special Peak of the Week

*There will be a panel discussion and review of the recent Ghana Medical Mission Trip this Wednesday, January 24, in the Peak of the Week class at 6:30pm in the Fireplace Room.  Speakers include Leon & Marilyn Sanderson, Carol Clarke, Catherine Wheless and Jim Hambrick.  Come hear about the good work God is doing through our mission work in Ghana!

First Time Home Buyer Seminar

*In the housing market, but just not sure where to begin?  Cindy Leavell will host a first time home buyer seminar on Saturday, February 3 in the CLC Conference Room from 8:30-noon.  Her presentations from a realtor, home inspector, and mortgage lender have all your questions answered to be as informed as possible when making this very important decision in your life.  Please call the church office to make a reservation.  A continental breakfast will be served.

Blood Drive & Country Ham Breakfast

*A Blood Drive will take place in the Children's Worship Room on Saturday, January 27 from 8am-1pm. The Country Ham Breakfast will be served from 8-10am.  The need for donors is great during January. Anyone that meets basic eligibility requirements and attempts to donate will be entered into a drawing for 1 of 2 $25 Amazon Gift cards. A Lifeblood representative will draw the names after the last donor has checked in.  PLEASE schedule an appointment. This helps Lifeblood plan their staff for the blood drive. Annual Soup & Chili Supper & Pie Auction To Benefit HST

*Women for Harding will host their annual Soup & Chili Supper and Pie Auction on Saturday, January 27, at 6:00 pm in the Fellowship Hall. Proceeds benefit Harding School of Theology. Tickets are $10 per person and will be available at the door, or call 901-432-7723.

SOMA Students Raising Funds For Spring Mission Trip

*U of M students are ready to be hired for your odd-job needs! SOMA is in need of individuals and families to “rent a college student” as a way for these students to fundraise for their upcoming spring break mission trip to the Navajo reservation in AZ with Praying Pelican Missions.
