Sundays:

  • Bible classes for all ages at 9:00 a.m.
  • Worship at 10:15 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall
  • Worship at 10:15 a.m. in the Auditorium
  • Worship with Iglesia at 10:15 in the Chapel
  • Worship at 5 p.m. in the Chapel

Wednesdays:

  • Devotional at 3 p.m. in the Chapel
  • Bible classes for all ages at 6:30 p.m.

Elders

Elders, shepherds, bishops, leaders — all biblical names for the men who, together with their wives, are the spiritual leaders of our church. Each of our elders serves the whole congregation, but they focus on leading as an integrated part of our Sunday Morning classes and small groups, shown in parentheses next to their names. 

 

Eddy Chester
(Cornerstone and Youth)

Eddy and Jeanne Chester serve as a shepherding couple in the Cornerstone Bible class and youth ministry. Eddy is the president of Property Solutions Group, a commercial real estate management company, and Jeanne is a child care provider. Eddy has served as an elder since 2016. 

Jerry Collins
(The Crossover)

Jerry Collins joined the eldership in 2011. He serves as the President and CEO of Memphis Light, Gas & Water. His wife Diane serves in our Children’s Ministry as a nursery teacher and Jerry works with our College Ministry.

Ordis Copeland
(The Brink)

Ordis Copeland is a Business Development Consultant in the Greater Memphis Regional Office for the State of Tennessee’s Department of Economic and Community Development. His wife Patti is the Academic Supervisor at Harding Academy. Ordis joined the eldership in March 2013. He and Patti attend and work with The Brink Bible class.

Dan Elkins
(The Crossover)

Dan and Terrie Elkins serve as one of the shepherding couples in the Crossover college class. They have been involved in the Fellowship Ministry for many years. Dan began his service as an elder in March 2013. Dan is an engineer at ThyssenKrupp Elevator while Terrie works at The Associated Agency.

               Glen Henton            (Iglesia)

The Hentons have served in local and campus ministry, missions to Spanish speaking countries, and teaching at Christian and public schools. They have five children, four daughters-in-law and nine grandchildren.  Glen is a bilingual navigator at the Family Safety Center and Kathy teaches elementary Spanish in Shelby County.  They work and worship with Iglesia. Glen became an elder in the summer of 2016.

Sonny Hubbard
(Ladies HOPE & Seekers)

Sonny Hubbard is president of Hubbard’s Hardware. His wife Karen works part-time for Harding Academy. Sonny began serving as a shepherd in 2001. Sonny is the shepherd for SOMA ministry and Sonny and Karen are the shepherding couple for the Ladies HOPE Bible class and the Seekers Bible class.

  David Jordan
(Cornerstone)

David Jordan serves as the Executive Director of Agape Child and Family Services. His wife Theresa served on White Station's Ministry Team for a number of years as Children's Minister and later as Administrative Minister. David began serving as a shepherd in 2006. David and Theresa are one of the shepherding couples in the Cornerstone Bible class.

Gordon Lawrence
(Children)

Gordon and Judy Lawrence serve as the shepherding couple for the Children's Ministry. Gordon is the president of The Associated Agency, a family owned independent insurance agency, and Judy works in the accounting department of Select-O-Hits. Gordon has served as a shepherd since 1993.

                 Richie Lynn             (Cornerstone)

Richie and Buffy Lynn have grown up together at White Station and were married in 1998.  They are one of the shepherding couples for the Cornerstone class and Richie chairs the Global Missions Team.  Richie is a Project Manager at FedEx and Buffy is a Senior Staff Accountant at Comprehensive Pharmacy Services.  Richie has served as an elder since 2016.

Don Meredith
(Bereans)

Don Meredith is the Librarian for Harding School of Theology. His wife Evelyn works with him as a librarian assistant. Don is the teacher and one of the shepherds in the Bereans Bible class. He has served as an elder since 1990.

Paul Morris
(Joint Heirs)

Paul Morris is retired from the Shelby County Government. His wife Yvonne serves as a Senior Recruitment Specialist with FedEx. Paul joined the eldership in 2011. He and Yvonne are one of the shepherding couples in the Joint Heirs Bible class.

Dave Pope
(Young Professionals)

Dave is retired and spends time with the community exercise class and tutoring adults in reading. Encouraging people is most important. Lawre Nell is a career kindergarten teacher and currently teaches at New Hope Christian Academy. Dave joined the eldership in March 2013.

Bubba Nelms
(FaithWalk & Youth)

Bubba and his wife Lynn are one of the shepherding couples in the FaithWalk Community class and youth ministry. He began serving as a shepherd in 2011. Bubba is the president of Engineered Comfort, Inc.

Ronn Rubio
(FaithWalk & Iglesia)

Ronn Rubio is a retired teacher and coach from Harding Academy. Susan is retired from Hopeworks. Ronn has been a shepherd since 1990. Ronn and Susan serve as one of the shepherding couples in the FaithWalk Community. Both are also very active in our Youth Ministry and City Missions.

Harry Seratt
(Lifesavers)

Harry Seratt is retired from FedEx. His wife Nancy is a retired teacher. Harry joined the eldership in 2011. Harry and Nancy serve as the shepherding couple of the Lifesavers Bible class.

         Larry Sisson         (FaithWalk Community)

Larry and Lee Sisson have served students and their families for years as part of the White Station Youth Group.Larry is the President of TESCO Properties, Inc. and works in the affordable housing industry.  Lee leads a girls small group in the youth group and has served on the Budget Action Team for many years.  Larry has served as an elder since 2016. 

 

 

  

Jack Lewis 
(Elder Emeritus)

Jack Lewis is a Professor of Bible Emeritus at Harding School of Theology. He has served as a shepherd from 1984 to 2014.
